NORMAN’S LIFE BEGINS

He wasn’t your average Musca Domestica, that’s Latin for housefly. He wasn’t born on a piece of crap or in the kitchen garbage.  No, not Norman.   His mother was a bit of a gypsy, so when she saw a package of brownies being shipped off from Ohio to Sunny California…she flew in.   True as it is, Norman was born in route to Los Angeles and grew ideas about himself as a bit of a superstar of sorts.  But this isn’t how he would spend his 30 long days of life.   In the beginning, he would reach for the stars, go for the gold, and maybe even become a rock star, but as he grew into age, Norman’s life would take a different turn.

For now, Norman convinced himself he was destined for greatness as he waited in this cardboard space for 5 long days, starving and hungry, and watching his body change into adulthood.   Norman decided that the world was waiting for him to discover, so when the box opened he vibrated his wings for the world to know that he was on the loose.  Out he went.  He hung out in Hermosa Beach for a while and became a ladies man; He lived on a boat in the Newport harbor and learned about directions: he even took a ride up to San Francisco via Highway 1 with a dysfunctional couple that argued about nonsense all the way through Big Sur.  He was dreamer and a traveler…until one day he saw something that would change him, quite possibly, for the rest of his life.
